“Dear Joanne, Thank you so much for a wonderful birth! Rosa smiled at two weeks and laughed at three which I think has a lot to do with her birth experience.  This birth makes me wonder how “important” waiting until 10cm really is. The hardest part of Corinna’s birth was trying not to push because I was only 9cm…..oh well, if thats the only complaint I’m doing better than most! After the experience I had and recently seeing the movie “Babies”, I’m so glad my with was most like the African birth and least like the American one! The image I will take from Rosa’s birth is one of the calm voices and crickets chirping-and a sweet baby in my arms.”
